Matthew Kelly - October 23rd

Matthew is returning to our area on October 23rd. St. Mary of the Annunciation in Mundelein asked us to co-host this event. At this time St. Paul the Apostle in Gurnee is also a co-hosting Parish. This one day mini retreat "Living your Life with Passion and Purpose" is a condensed version of Matthew's three day retreat. The retreat will be held at St Mary's and is sure to be a day that will enlighten you with the Holy Spirit as you continue on your journey loving our Lord. The cost for this day is $99.00 and includes lunch, workbook and rosary. Fifteen dollars of every ticket we sell will be returned to St. Francis. In addition, the first 50 tickets we sell will receive a DVD set of Matthew's "Passion and Purpose". This DVD set has a retail value of $70.00.

The Great Bible Adventure - October 30th

This one day seminar is titled The Great Bible Adventure and is for anyone who would like to have a better understanding of our Lord. The day seminar will be held at St. Francis from 9-3, including lunch and workbook. Prices will be available prior to registering for the event.

National Prayer Campaign

Priests for Life, the largest pro-life ministry in the Catholic Church and an approved Association of the Faithful, has organized a National Prayer Campaign to keep abortion coverage out of health care reform.  Please visit
http://www.prayercampaign.org to download the prayer.  Health care reform should not include coverage for abortion on demand.  Please communicate with Congress and join the National Prayer Campaign.

Archdiocese of Chicago Women's Committee (AWC)

The AWC wishes to provide "on the go families" with a simple tool to help them build up and live out their faith every day.  A family calendar entitled "Church of the Home" has been created to achieve the AWC's goal.  The calendar is available, free of charge, on the AWC Web site under Archdiocesan Women's Committee.  Please visit
http://www.archchicago.org/DECW/Councils/council.aspx
to download the calendar.  The AWC's hope is that, along with families attending Sunday Mass together, the Church of the Home calendar will provide families with activities and discussion points that will provide a means to promote faith through ordinary family life.
